Celebrate Mission

Keith Ray, Chief Development and Mission Integration Officer, celebrated mission with the team at our Spring River Christian Village community in Joplin, MO. The day's activities included lunch and a special address by Keith Ray and the community's Executive Director, Stacey Smith.

“Sometimes you just have to CELEBRATE the faithfulness and goodness of God," said Ray.

Another Important Step

Beginning, November 15 a COVID-19 and Flu vaccination will be expected for all Christian Horizons associates. This policy update is yet another important step in ensuring our communities are safe places for our associates to work and for residents to live. With vaccinations and stringent infection protocols in place, we give associates, residents, and families the confidence that we are doing everything we can to keep them safe and to protect each other.

Family Visitations and Protocols

With new guidance now in place from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS),Christian Horizons communities are now accepting visitors with several rules, procedures, and protocols in place, as the health and safety of residents, staff, and the community remain our top priority.  If a resident is vaccinated, he or she can enjoy some direct contact with their visitors including hugs which has been really wonderful. Read our visitation protocols prior to your visit and check back often for any updates. Contact your local community to schedule a visit appointment in advance.

Blessed to Serve During A Time Such As This

From March 1 to February 28, Christian Horizons communities served 3868 residents in all levels of care. Over this period of time, we cared for 670 COVID-19 residents (17.3%) and we experienced 89 COVID-19 resident deaths (2.3%). This pandemic has challenged us all and we want you to know that we are grateful for the support we've received. We’d like to thank residents and their families, our incredible associates who have worked selflessly around the clock to keep residents secure, connected and cared for, local businesses for their generosity and partnership, area churches for their outreach and fellowship, and local communities for their encouragement and donations. Thank you!

We're closer than ever to
those we serve.

As a faith-based, not-for-profit, Christian Horizons’ mission has always been to honor God by delivering a continuum of care. Today, our mission continues. Across Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Missouri, our nurses, nursing assistants, associates and staff are working tirelessly and purposefully to keep our residents safe and well and to ensure that our communities remain sources of friendship, support, inspiration and Christian values. To date, more than 1500 vaccines have been administered to residents across our ministry. Beginning, November 15 a COVID-19 and Flu vaccination will be expected for all Christian Horizons associates. This policy update is yet another important step in ensuring our communities are safe places for our associates to work and for residents to live.

Christian Horizons is more than just senior living communities.

We aim to meet the needs of older adults and others wherever they live.
