Christian Horizons is humbled to be a faith-led nonprofit organization firmly focused on serving older adults. Unlike some nonprofit organizations that solely rely on donations for general operations, our generous partners help us continue to expand the reach of our mission throughout the communities we serve.

This fiscal year, we laid the groundwork for a new, centralized Christian Horizons foundation launched this July, which is already working to streamline bookkeeping and administrative tasks of financial donations.

The new 501c3 does not change how gifts are used. Donations still go towards and directly benefit their designated community. But with administrative tasks centralized, community associates can spend more time doing what they do best—serving residents, clients, patients and guests. The change not only helps gifts go further, it provides more visibility to our board of directors, who will now take an active role in overseeing un-designated gifts, ensuring they are provided to those communities and services most in need.

Generous donations provide support throughout Christian Horizons’ communities and services. Learn more about our foundation here.

As a faith-led, person-first organization, Christian Horizons is in service to a mission of empowering older adults in mind, body and spirit through faith-led service. Based in St. Louis, Mo., the organization owns and operates a portfolio of seven life plan campuses and five stand-alone older adult communities offering a mix of independent, assisted and supportive living; memory support; long-term healthcare centers and short-term rehabilitation. The organization also serves older adults through Safe Haven Hospice in central Illinois; Senior Care Pharmacy Services; and New Horizons PACE® (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) in St. Louis, Mo.
