The health, wellbeing and safety of residents, clients, guests and associates are our highest priority. The Christian Horizons’ response to the COVID-19 virus is ongoing and comprehensive with complete infection control practices including frequent handwashing, cleaning and disinfecting practices, investment in personal protective equipment (PPE), swift identification practices, and many others.
We are in close communication and guidance with our governing health bodies like the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), local and state health departments and our industry leaders to ensure we’re complying with the latest in governing regulations and best-practices to keep residents, clients, guests and associates safe.

Vaccinations
At Christian Horizons, we believe the US Food and Drug Administration-approved COVID-19 vaccine is our best defense against spread of COVID-19 and influenza (the flu) and an important step in protecting older adults. Through our ongoing commitment to safety, all Christian Horizons associates and caregivers are required to receive the COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations (as of Nov. 2021) or provide religious or medical exemption.
Residents, guests and clients are not required, but are highly encouraged to receive up-to-date vaccinations.

Visitations
We continue to follow our governing health agencies on their visitation guidelines and requirements for senior living communities. Many of these guidelines vary by state and are dependent on local county COVID-19 positivity rates. While our communities continue to show ongoing commitment toward safety for residents, guests and associates, we fully understand family and friend connection is an important aspect of health and will provide additional support to residents in connecting safely with their families (through digital methods, phone calls, social distancing practices, etc.) when or if visitation limits are put in place.
Please contact your community directly for the most up-to-date details on current visitation practices.
