Compassionate hospice and end-of-life support that extends grace and honors life for more moments of fulfillment and happiness. For families facing serious illness, we’re here to walk alongside you.
Understanding Safe Haven Hospice
Safe Haven Hospice provides compassionate, supportive care for individuals and families throughout the end-of-life journey. We step in when a physician has given a life expectancy of 6 months or less, when care recommendations focus on symptom management and quality of life.
Our interdisciplinary team of professionals include physicians, nurses, care aides, social services, volunteer companions, dietary professionals and counselors who specialize in spiritual bereavement and grief support for both patients and their families. This is one of the great benefits of hospice services—your entire family is fully supported before, during and after hospice care.
Whole Person Care
Safe Haven Hospice prioritizes whole person support in central Illinois.
Faith-led Hospice Support
Our interdisciplinary team of hospice professionals work collaboratively to support patients and their families. Hospice care is provided wherever the patient calls home—a private residence, assisted living or skilled nursing community. Services are covered for those who qualify by Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurances.
- Nurses are on-call and available 24-hours a day
- Physicians oversee individualized care plans
- Counseling services include all-denominational spiritual and bereavement support
- Hospice aides provide direct, compassionate care
- Volunteers offer supportive companionship to patients
- Medications and durable medical equipment, such as walkers, wheelchairs and hospital beds are included

Understanding Hospice and End-of-Life Support
The decision to enroll in end-of-life hospice care is not an easy one. We’ll walk alongside families every step of the way to ensure hospice support is the right decision. Joy, peace, comfort and family connections are the foundations of our compassionate end of life programming.
