In-Person Visitations

The population we serve – older persons with underlying medical conditions – are at greater risk for the most serious forms of infection associated with this new disease. Based on CMS guidance, during the COVID-19 public health emergency, it is our policy to enable residents to engage in virtual, outdoor, and indoor visits to the extent possible. If there has been no COVID-19 cases in staff or residents  (excluding those admitted with COVID) in the last 14 days and if our county positivity rate is low or medium, we will facilitate in-person visitation consistent with the regulations. Visits should be scheduled  in advance by appointment, during designated visiting hours (no unplanned or unannounced visits). The Administrator and/or designees shall accommodate visits using the County Positivity Rate and COVID-19 Outbreak surveillance data.

Heroes Work Here.

September 15, the Christian Horizons Gratitude Tour Team pulled up to River Birch Living, small house assisted living community that has reported no resident COVID-19 cases to date, to show appreciation to the leadership and superhero caregivers for their dedication in the care and safety of residents.

Chief Strategy Officer, Jenelle Bertolino-Ishmael joined Ray Dickison in the grand marshal vehicle that led the car parade. In addition to dancers, highlights from the gratitude celebration included a food truck and appearances by Jake Bell, CEO, Chuck Schmitz,CFO, and Keith Ray, VP of Mission Integration.

Dickison said he wants associates across the ministry to know “how grateful and thankful [we] are for their hard work, continued dedication and focus as we respond and manage through the COVID-19 pandemic.”
