Family Visitations and Protocols

River Birch Living is now accepting visitors with several rules, procedures, and protocols in place, as the health and safety of residents, staff, and the community remain our top priority. We must conduct a visitor COVID-19 screening 24 hours in advance and upon the visitor’s arrival. All visitors must be able to follow all safety protocols including screening, wearing a face mask and social distancing. If a resident is vaccinated, he or she can enjoy some direct contact with their visitors including hugs which has been really wonderful. Read our visitation protocols prior to your visit. Call in to schedule visit appointments in advance, 217-547-0400.

We’re a community of heart. And a community with a plan.

To date River Birch Living, a small-house assisted living model, has had ZERO COVID-19 cases. It is difficult to know that your loved one needs additional assistance, but you’re afraid for their well-being during this pandemic. If you’re concerned about safety for your loved one - safety from falls, safety for medication, safety for memory care, and safety for COVID-19, call River Birch Living and learn why this model of assisted living is the solution for you. Call us at 217-871-1952 to learn more about our small house living community. View brochure.

Mind, Body and Spirit- Connection Through Understanding

The decline in memory is one of the greatest losses for families. As part of our new Pathway Memory Support® program, we have developed new tools to support the gathering and use of life story information so River Birch Living associates will learn about each resident through materials that help provide memory prompts that can trigger delightful stories and memories from the past. River Birch Living incorporates these tools and daily activities that engage the mind, body and spirit to help residents thrive. Request a copy of the Pathway Memory Support program’s “Top 10” or “Conversation Starter” cards. Contact us to learn more, 217-547-0400 or complete the contact form above.
