(St. Louis, MO ) Christian Horizons has partnered with Feet to the Fire Writers’ Workshops® to offer residents an expressive writing program which engages seniors in creating their own life narratives.
Feet to the Fire Writers’ Workshops® is a licensed program designed for use in senior/assisted-living communities and wellness organizations. Created to compliment aging adults’ personal activity schedules, the writing program provides an opportunity for lifelong learning and emotional wellness experiences.
The program not only engages residents in a creative way, but also helps to reduce stress, improve self-worth and confidence, and builds a feeling of community.
“We are excited to bring this program to residents and a legacy of treasured memories to families,” said Ray Dickison, Chief Operating Officer.
Christian Horizons has launched the writer’s workshop program at three of its communities: Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown, IN, Risen Son Christian Village, Council Bluffs, IA and The Christian Village, Lincoln, IL.
