The National Association of Health Care Assistants (NAHCA) is proud to announce Christian Horizons as its newest member organization. Christian Horizons has pledged their commitment by investing in the CNA Champion NAHCA Membership for all Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and caregivers across its eleven communities. As new members in the only national CNA association, all Christian Horizons community CNAs will receive CNA branded merchandise for recognition giveaways, online access to a resource library, and advanced training/education for superstar CNAs.
Certified Nursing Assistants are professionals who provide care and assist in the activities of daily living (ADLs) to patients/residents in most care settings. They are one of the largest employed groups in healthcare and often provide the majority of direct patient care. It is essential that these professionals are recognized for the amazing work they do every day.
“CNAs and caregivers are so important to the care and well-being of our residents and clients. Their work is vital, and we are so pleased to make this investment into the CNAs and caregivers that are part of our ministry,” said Ray Dickison, Christian Horizons Chief Operating Officer.
The mission of the National Association of Health Care Assistants is to elevate the professional standing and performance of caregivers through recognition, advocacy, education and empowerment while building a strong alliance with health care providers to maximize success and quality patient care.
NAHCA’s goals are to enhance quality of life and care for frail, elderly and disabled people; enhance the professional standing of Certified Nursing Assistants and other similarly credentialed caregivers through recognition, education, advocacy and motivation; and form strong relationships with the other professionals within the long-term care system.
