The Christian Village, a Christian Horizons’ senior living community serving Lincoln, Ill., and surrounding areas, is pleased to announce the promotion of Julie King to residential services director. In her new role, King will establish and maintain operational systems that elevate quality care and service of independent living and assisted living residents, while remaining in compliance with federal, state, local and corporate requirements.

“Julie is a caring, genuine soul who makes everyone feel loved and like family,” said Andrea Halley, executive director at The Christian Village. “It is a blessing to have her as part of the leadership team at our community.”

King has been a servant leader at Christian Horizons’ The Christian Village for 28 years. Empathetic and energetic, she brings a personal level to her work with residents, families and associates. In 2021, she was the recipient of the Christian Horizons’ Dr. Tim Phillipe Leadership Award for her exemplary leadership achievements.

“Julie’s attitude is infectious! From the first meeting, Julie helps residents and families feel like they are part of the community,” said Halley. “The families and older adults we serve know that Julie truly perceives their beauty, value and worth, while meeting their needs accordingly.

In 1994, King joined The Christian Village team as an activity aide. She exhibits a high commitment to customer service, above and beyond actions in supporting the senior living community’s mission, and a personal touch to her work with residents.
